The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics which consists of 120 hours. The B.S. degree permits a greater degree of specialization than that afforded by the B.A. degree.
The following are the requirements for this degree:
  - English - 12 hours
- Oral Communication - 3 hours
- Foreign Language - 6-16 hours
- Natural Science - 8 hours
- Individual or Group Behavior - 3 hours
- American History - 6 hours
- Political Science - 6 hours
- Humanities - 3 hours 
  - May be satisfied with the 12-hour English requirement
